There is a much greater awareness today of the issues around protecting children and young people from child abuse. Organisations are increasingly conscious that they have appropriate and correct procedures in place to ensure the well-being and safety of young people. At the very least, it is vital that anyone working with children and young people under 18 years of age holds a current Criminal Records Bureau Enhanced Certificate. The BWY is currently updating its information on TYTC teachers who hold a current Enhanced Disclosure from the CRB, as well as those who are currently teaching yoga to children.

If this applies to you, I would be grateful if you would supply me with the following information:
1. your name,
2. the date you successfully completed your TYTC module,
3. Enhanced Disclosure Issue Date (stated on the front page of the Disclosure),
4. Enhanced Disclosure Registration Number (also to be found on the front page of the Disclosure), and
5. whether you are currently teaching yoga to children.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE
The Enhanced Disclosures are valid for 3 years from the date of issue. If your Disclosure is dated more than 3 years ago, and you are teaching or intend to teach children/young people, you will need to reapply for an Enhanced Disclosure.
