As a registered charity, The British Wheel of Yoga has an Executive Committee that makes management decisions on behalf of members.

The Executive Team consists of 11 Regional Officers, the Management Team and ex-officio officers that include: two Holding Trustees, Congress Coordinator and Accountant.

The Management Committee look after the day-to-day administration and management of the organisation and includes: Chair, Vice Chair, General Secretary, Treasurer, Education Committee Chair and Marketing & Media Representative. We have also just employed a full-time Chief Executive.

Within each region there are County Representatives (almost 60 in total), with other individuals taking up posts of regional magazine editors, regional training co-ordinators etc. Almost all of these positions are voluntary.

Governing Body for Yoga in Great Britain
As the Governing Body for Yoga in Great Britain, we also accredit other organisations' teacher training programmes. Accredited organisations include: Centre for Yoga Studies (CYS formerly aYs), Satyananda UK/Eire, Mandala Yoga Ashram, Inner Yoga Trust (previously Heart Yoga), Sunpower Yoga, The Life Centre, Triyoga and the Yoga Academy.

We are in the process of accrediting Sadhana Mala, The London Yoga Teacher Training Course, Chekira Wholistic Trust, Yoga Farm, Krishnamcharya Healing & Yoga Foundation including Healing Yoga UK (KHYF).
