COURSE PLAN
The course is in three parts:
Part 1. Reflection on and reading about the different aspects of Muladhara Chakra.
Participants will look at a table of some of the aspects of Muladhara Chakra and then read their favourite texts and books for a quote for five of the aspects of the chakra listed.
Part 2. Considering practices to emphasise Muladhara chakra.
Participants will practise some practices guided by a supplied audio CD. They will then reflect on these practices, considering which aspect of Muladhara chakra they feel they relate to and how they might adapt the practices for inclusion in the yoga classes they teach. They will also reflect on the potential benefits and cautionary issues relating to working with Muladhara Chakra.
Part 3. Practice and evaluation of an earth-based relaxation.
Participants practise an “earth-based relaxation”, as guided by a supplied audio CD. They then reflect on this, guided by a worksheet asking them to reflect both on their personal experience and how (if at all) they might adapt this relaxation to make it suitable for use in their own yoga teaching.
Note: the different parts of the course can be worked on concurrently or sequentially as the students feel would work best for them.
