My background in Yoga is varied, having studied with the Sivananda, Desikachar and Iyengar yoga traditions, going on to become a yoga teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga at age 30. I chose to train as a teacher with the Wheel because it offered the freedom to develop my own style of teaching and was excellent at differentiating teaching so that teaching classes with mixed levels of abilities and levels of experience was made possible. I was invited to become a Diploma Course Tutor in 2002 and have had 18 years thoroughly enjoying teaching diploma courses. I have also taught many times at the BWY Teachers Training Week, which has always been a real pleasure. I also trained in Ayurveda, primarily with Dr David Frawley & Vaidya Atreya Smith, from 2004 to 2009, and still run Ayurvedic intensives; Then becoming a Mindfulness Teacher with Bangor University in 2011. It is wonderful to be able bring both Ayurveda and Mindfulness into my yoga teacher training courses as they certainly add a greater breadth of knowledge and experience to the training. Currently I am training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and also Classical Tantrik Yoga, both of which I am loving.
