Information about the course:
The BWY is a charitable organisation which has been training teachers for almost sixty years; it provides a robust framework of support during and after your training in regional teachers’ meetings, training events and festivals. Your BWY teacher membership fee includes teaching insurance from the first day of the course. On successful completion of the course, you will be entitled to use the BWY teacher logo, which is a widely recognised kite mark of quality.
How is the Course organised?
ü One Saturday per month for a full day of tuition, practice and discussion (plus one weekend each July)
ü Progressive home practice in asana, pranayama and meditation to continue developing your own practice and experience
ü Written homework assignments, requiring research and some essay writing, all submitted by email
ü Putting theory to practice and building your skills by participating in peer group teaching, both face to face and online, giving and receiving of feedback
ü Commence teaching your own class by the end of the first year
Who is the tutor?
Audrey Blow is described as a creative yoga teacher who pays attention to detail. She has been influenced by many yoga traditions and blends traditional techniques with those that have been more recently forged. Since qualifying as a teacher in 2004 Audrey has studied further, completing BWY Meditation, Pranayama and Ayurveda modules, BWY Gentle Years Yoga teacher training and courses at the Mandala Yoga Ashram in Wales with Swami Nishchalananda and other inspiring, insightful teachers in the UK and in South Africa.
Audrey undertook Diploma Course Tutor training in 2011-13 and has been teaching BWY Foundation Courses and BWYQ Level 4 Diploma in Teaching Yoga courses since then. She is currently one of the nationwide BWY Gentle Years Yoga/ Yorkshire and Northumbria Universities/ NIHR Research Trials teachers.

Audrey has served on the BWY’s Wales regional committee, the BWY National Training Committee and BWY National Executive Committee.
What are the pre course requirements?· A passion for yoga and a minimum of three years regular class attendance
· Completion of BWY Foundation Course or have similar experience/ qualification
· Attendance at an Introductory day where you will meet the tutor and fellow students, embark on some coursework and experience how each course day will be run
· BWY Anatomy and Physiology course or similar experience/ qualification
Proposed course dates:
Two introductory days 9.30am-1pm via zoom. Thirty-two course days (face to face with online possibilities), on a Saturday from 9.30am to 5pm, plus one weekend each July. From 23 April 2022 to 20 October 2024.

Public car parking is a just a couple of minutes’ walk from the centre. Easily accessible by bus and within a short walking distance from Risca railway station.
