What will I study?
· Teaching Asana: Observation and Adjustment

What is the time commitment?
This is a 500-hour certificated Diploma course 36-day sessions will be tutor led. The remaining time is made up of student practical experiences and home study. You will have the opportunity to explore and transform in a creative community and develop your practice in your life on and off the yoga mat.
Course pre-requisites:
Two years attendance at a yoga class with a quality assured teacher. Attendance at a BWY Foundation course is favorable although not-compulsory.
How will I be assessed?
Both formative and summative assignments will help build your skills and confidence throughout the course. These are set by the BWY and regulated by Ofqual
Formative assignments: are not formally assessed but are used to give you feedback so you can develop your skills and become a reflexive teacher.
Summative assignments: are set by the BWY and regulated by Ofqual. These include two Assessed Class Teaching (ACT) practices.
You will be guided by your tutor in a safe and encouraging environment which will support you to grow and flourish into your potential.
When?
Introductory day: 24 April 2022
Induction day: 26June 2022
Course: 26 June 2022 – 27 March 2025 last Sunday of each month from June 2022 except December when there are no course days.
Time: 9:30-5:30
Dates for first year:
Official course hours over a three-year 500-hour course period are 270 tutor-led and (36 x 7.5 Sessions) and the rest of the hours are made up of student homework and practice.
Dates are mainly the last Sunday of each month. Except December - this will be either the first or second Sunday depending on group preference to be decided/confirmed for all years at induction on 26 June 2022.
The same pattern will follow for 2024-2025
Attendance
80% attendance is required to receive the BWYQ
level 4 Diploma.
