Sarah O’Connor is a Senior Yoga teacher and Director of Mindflowyoga Training School offering Foundation Courses, 500 hour training, and postgraduate courses in Pranayama & Mantra and Philosophy. Her expertise comes from over 25 years of teaching experience in the fields of yoga and energy body practices. Influences have come from Ancient Tibetan and yoga lineages, interweaved with and interest in modern understanding of physical and mental energy through neuroscience.Sarah’s work skilfully guides students into a direct experience of body-mind and yogic practices, from a place of inner discernment, taking the yoga practice deeper creating a stronger experience of the mind-body connection.Her teaching guides students through Tibetan and Indian practices to cleanse mind and body of negative stored energies, using asana, Tsa Lung, kriya, pranayama, mantra, and meditation. Leaving you in the stillness, silence and spaciousness of pure awareness.

Aim: To develop teachers practical knowledge, philosophical knowledge, and relevance of  Pancha Vayus, in our own lives and in the delivery of our yoga classes

Objective:
To deepen students understanding of the Vayus and be able to integrate this understanding in their own classes through the practice of:-
Pranayama
Mudra
Bandha
Mantra
Meditation
Relaxation
Reference of Philosophy, from a selection of reading material
Students will be able to reconnect more consciously to these subtle energies
Be able to apply this knowledge and understanding to their own students, through practical application
Students will have a deeper understanding of the functioning of the Vayus in relation to body functions

10:00am - 10:15am Introduction and overview of day

10.15am – 11.45am Morning tutor lead workshop style
Asana warm ups each Vayu mantra | Tsa lungs (all pervasive and life sustaining) Uddiyana bandha  agni sara kriya relationship between balance of apana and udana – prana mudra pose, relaxation Vayus focus into each area colour 

12.00pm – 12.20pm  Presentation  

12.20pm – 12.50 pm Developing classes themes around asana stimulate Vayus
Group work
Aim: to encourage creativity and sharing of ideas
5 groups: Prana | Apana | Samana |Udana | Vyana
In groups Look at your specific vayu and work through sequences to develop awareness of this vayu…Link to philosophy, mantra, pranayama ,meditation, kriya, bodies functions etc. 
Feedback into larger group after lunch 

12.40 – 1pm - guided Meditation using prana vayu mantras & mudras  feedback & question 

1:00 pm – 2:00pm Lunch break

2.00pm – 2:15pm  Key philosophical texts, sutra, Gita Upanishad etc. read and talk 
2.45pm – 3pm Group work - feedback into larger group developing larger themes over month/term

3.00pm – 3.45pm

3:45pm - 4:00pm Feedback and close 

In case of  cancellation:  

1. The event organiser will offer to transfer a person to another event which is on the BWY website.

2. If this is not possible the event organiser will follow the BWY cancellation policy:
    Within 2 months of the event a full refund can be made
    Between 8 weeks and 4 weeks prior to the event 50% of the fee (a full refund can be made if there is a waiting list for the event)
    1 month to 1 week – 25% of fee paid
    7 days’ notice no refund

3. The event organiser will ask the Treasurer to refund the person by BACS – cheque refunds will only be given in exceptional circumstances.
