Gain a better understanding of how the body stabilises itself in movement and explore this through asana.
This workshop will give insight on what it means to have "core" stability and "feeling centred" leading to a deepened sense of yoga practice and will expand your understanding of how the human body remains balanced working in gravity. If you teach it will help you find language and teaching points to share with your students so they can access their inner knowledge to find more stability in their bodies and yet remain adaptable and gentle in their asana practice.
There will be a mixture of theory, discussion and practical work during the day, led by Andrea Newman. Andrea has been teaching yoga since 1994 and is a BWY Diploma Course Tutor, training yoga teachers in the south west of England. Andrea is also a Certified Advanced Rolfer (DIRI/ERA).
Please bring your own mat and equipment.
