How life moves:
Discover with Mary Mackie how we can adapt to change and use yoga to support us or
modify our practice whatever our ability

Marie Mackie leads us through the evolution and development of body systems and how we can use this knowledge to explore modern, functional movement in yoga.

The Nervous, Endocrine and Digestive systems  are fundamental to our evolution, physically, mentally, emotionally. The session is a fascinating exploration of how the whole being revolves around the felt awareness of ourselves, the chemicals deployed by our nervous and endocrine systems and the microbiota of our digestive systems.

You will be taken through the process of how dis-ease in our lives manifest in our emotional, psychological and physical wellbeing, explore how postures and breath can help and where they can be modified so that they can support us whatever our ability or stage in life.  The day will be full of practice which you can use in your own life as well as a teacher and give you confidence to develop therapeutic  practices to empower yourself or your students to gain mental, emotional and physical release and strength through yoga.

Mary Mackie a qualified yoga therapist and is passionate about empowering others to reach their full potential though yoga practiced intelligently. Mary is also on the faculty of the Yoga United Yoga therapy teacher training course, a BWY Diploma Course teacher and teaches general classes for all abilities.
