Tutor: Swami Atma Saraswatu
Date: 20th July 2019
Time: 10:00 - 16:00
Our Essential Being is a core steadfastness of happiness and peace. But life with all its ups and downs makes us identify with the physical body and the mind. In so doing we can lose contact with our joy, our true Self. Yantra and Mandalas can help us become more focused and spacious in the now instead of being lost in the past or the future. They have the possibility of facilitating insight, can be healing and can open us up to deeper experiences.
Though this seminar will include a session introducing Yantra and Mandala the day will mainly be practiced based. Practices will include hatha yoga, pranayama, yoga nidra, trataka, chanting and meditation.
Swami Atma Saraswati was introduced to Yoga over 40 years ago and has been a serious practitioner for over 20 years. She initially became a member of the Dharma Centre under the guidance of Swami Dharmananda Saraswati Maharaj. From 2002 her guiding light became Swami Nishchalananda Saraswati of Mandala Yoga Ashram, Wales. Swami Atma was a resident of Mandala Yoga Ashram for 9 years, is an Ashram Trustee and now lives close by. She was initiated as a Swami by Swami Nishchalananda in 2011. She is a qualified Yoga teacher (Mandala Yoga Ashram and British Wheel of Yoga) and teaches in the UK and France. Though she says everything is Yoga she specialises in the Sri Yantra, Vigyana Bhairava Tantra, Tattwa Shuddhi,Meditation and Yoga Nidra.
