Cakra and Nāḍi Zoom BWY IST
In this online workshop, Ranju will be exploring the links between the symbolism of the cakra and the formulations of the philosophy of Sāṃkhya. We will also briefly consider the impact of Tantra on yoga, and finally how Desikachar described the actions of various āsana on the ‘alignment’ of cakra. We will also learn a short chant to the five great elements and will incorporate this chant with meditative practices.
Ranju Roy has been teaching yoga since 1992, having trained with Paul Harvey, Peter Hersnack and TKV Desikachar. He has been co-directing Sādhana Mālā, a training organisation delivering retreats and courses, since 1994 (www.sadhanamalayogatraining.com). Along with his co-director Dave Charlton, he also authored Embodying the Yoga Sūtrain 2019 (available directly from Ranju on ranju@sadhanamala.com).
