In this masterclass Sarah and Bridget will explore Vanda Scaravelli’s three key principles of ground, breathe and release in all four movement patterns of the spine - flexion, extension, side-bending and rotation. We will apply these principles in a variety of asana including supine, standing poses and balances, prone backarches and inversions. Exploring what we mean by "grounding” we will examine the importance of freedom in the feet for finding support from below in order to create length through the spine. There will be some experiential group/pair work in order to clarify how we find this in ourselves and in others.
