BWYT Foundation Course 1 with Tarik Dervish

Date: 22nd February 2020

Time: 10:00 - 17:00

Location: Brighton

Type of Event: Foundation Course 1

Places Available: 16

Information about the course
This is one of my favourite courses because it provides a basis for going deeper into Yoga practice
without any pressure. It is a 60-hour course running over 6 months on Saturdays and covers a wide
range of topics relating to Yoga Philosophy and practice that you wouldn’t normally cover in general
classes. You will get the chance to explore some transformative classical techniques revealed by
some of the greatest yogis of old and enrich your relationship with yoga as a whole.
The course will run in a lovely spacious studio off Dyke Road in Brighton which has free parking, is
about 15 minutes walk from Preston Park train station and about 10 mins on the bus from Brighton

The Course:
The core syllabus includes
  • Preparation for practiceAsana (postures)
  • Mudra (Sealing gestures)
  • Basic breathing
  • Kriya (cleansing practice)
  • Pranayama (breathing practices)
  • Concentration techniques
  • Relaxation techniques
  • Chanting
  • Introduction to Ayurveda
  • Chakras and Tantric philosophy
  • Talks and discussions on the context and meaning of Yoga.
And a lot of fun!
