Information about the course;
BWY foundation course 1, is aimed at those wishing to deepen their knowledge of all aspects of Yoga, in a way that cannot be covered within a regular class. Taking the practitioner on a journey of personal self-development. The course is a suitable preparation for those who may or may not wish to go forward to train as a Yoga instructor.
Posture practises will be explored, working deeply into with breath, mantra, mudra. Releasing into the pranic (subtle/energy) body to reconnect with our essential nature. Concentration, meditation, relaxation practises will be covered, also a delve into the history of Yoga, including a visit to the ancient texts, Patanjali, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Upanishads and The Bhagavad Gita.
Guiding the individual on a beautiful spiritual journey towards the Self.
