Information about the Course:
These British Wheel of Yoga approved workshops will support yoga
teachers and practitioners who want to introduce yoga to children in either a group, or a 1:1 setting. You will leave with practical ideas and useful hand outs.
Over five weeks, the sessions will include short yoga sequences, basic facts about how
our bodies work and information on how to include children with a physical, or
learning need. Yogic philosophy is presented in an age appropriate way, plus
ways to support wellbeing, calm and resilience are considered as listed below:
Your inner child will enjoy music, games, craftwork
and stories; with a focus on sensory learning. Making activities appropriate
for very young children, as well as those with a disability or learning need.

Jenny has practised yoga since 1980 and began her journey with the British Wheel of Yoga, & Special Yoga for Special Yoga for Special Children in 2007. Her practice is creative in bringing health benefits and new experiences to children. The workshops are suitable for yoga teachers, parents and child practitioners who'd like to introduce yoga to children. At least 6 months experience of yoga practice is essential and temporary membership of the British Wheel of Yoga can be obtained.
Please bring a mat, and a block/cushion to all session. Hand-outs, tea and biscuits are offered. 2 meter social distancing rules will be observed. Paid parking is available, and the Nos. 18 bus runs directly to and from St Luke's church to Brighton Railway Station, offering a direct line to London Victoria, and St Pancras Internation stations. St Luke's is next to the beautiful Queens Park, and close to several cafes along Queens Park Road and Egremont Place.
