"We wholeheartedly believe in the healing power of Nature and in the natural life process’’

This Teacher training course leads to a qualification as a Yoga Therapist. It is approved by The British Wheel of Yoga and accredited by The British Council of Yoga Therapy.

The course is led by Nikki Jackson who has worked in The NHS as both an Occupational Therapist and Yoga Therapist since 1992. She has many years of experience working directly with people suffering from a variety of physical and mental chronic health conditions. She is joined by a small team of experienced yoga therapists and The Mandala Ashram teachers who will be providing authentic teachings from ancient texts and practises which complement the healing nature of the training course.
The course will emphasise teachings from The Dharma and the Buddhist Mindful Compassionate Based Approach as a fundamental healing resource. Traditional healing yoga practises will be merged with scientific medical evidence, neuroscience and up to date psychological therapeutic interventions.  An extensive variety of physical and mental health conditions will be explored both in seminars and through case studies.

The training course is in two stages:

Stage One:

6 months Foundations in Yoga Therapy (NQF level 3)
starting 20th March 2021
(West Oxfordshire)

leading to

Stage Two:

18 months Full Training to Teacher Yoga Therapist
(NQF level 4)
starting 23rd October 2021
(The Mandala Ashram, Wales and West Oxfordshire)

The course emphasises ‘no one cure fits all’ with a person-centred approach.  You will learn core therapy skills taken from Western medical scientific research and psychological knowledge combined with traditional yoga concepts and various healing yoga practises from India and Tibet.

Once qualified, graduates will be well placed to work within rehabilitation services for NHS departments, Social Services, Occupational Health departments (NHS and private sector), Health Charities, Private Practise and many more.
"We believe in keeping yoga authentic and to encourage a sense of ‘returning back to our roots’’.
