Information about the course: 
Learn how to teach Menopause Yoga workshops and group classes on a unique course led by Petra Coveney that draws together western and eastern approaches to support women’s health and wellbeing. 
Menopause Yoga seeks to educate and empower women to embrace The Menopause as an opportunity for self-knowledge and personal growth.  
Trainees on this course learn to: 
a.Teach specific yoga asana, pranayama, and meditation practices to help women manage their symptoms and unlock the positive potential of this natural but destabilising transition in life. 
b.Hold Space safely in women’s circle discussions on menopause. 
c.Plan and promote menopause workshops and classes. 
Trainees also benefit from expert guest speaker talks (live and recorded) on: 
Biological causes of menopause symptoms, health risks & medical solutions; 
Nutrition to support hormone balance, heart, bone and muscle strength. 
Osteoporosis risks and safe practice.  
Psychology & CBT for menopause. 
Natural remedies and vitamin supplements. 
Ayurveda for menopause. 
Traditional Chinese Medicine and Qigong for Second Spring. 
This Module is accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga and involves 30 hours of live online training, including: 
Menopause Yoga teaching  
live guest speaker talks,  
group teaching practice  
an observed teaching assessment. 
It is taught online over 4 weeks, via Zoom, on 4x Thursday’s from 10am-5pm (including two hours for lunch and other comfort breaks), plus a one-hour welcome meet-up and a two-hour group teaching practice guided by the course leader and assistants.  
Successful completion of the course requires full attendance, a 15-minutes observed teaching practice and written coursework to be submitted on the last day of the course (March 25th). 
To support self-study, trainees also have access to an online library of Menopause Yoga Teachers’ Resources, including video webinars, podcasts and pdf documents. Trainees are encouraged to practice teaching online with an allocated partner during the 4-week course.  
Graduates will receive an accreditation certificate from the British Wheel of Yoga, a digital Letter of Authenticity from Yoga Alliance Professionals and a Menopause Yoga Accredited Teacher gold standard badge, as well as CPD points. 
Graduates can also join a FREE Teachers Directory on the website, FREE teacher skill-sharing sessions, and FREE access to the library of Teacher’s Resources.

Course criteria 
This course is only open to qualified yoga teachers who are personally in a stage of The Menopause – from perimenopause to post menopause. If you are not at this stage of life yet, please contact to request dates for other courses open to all teachers.
