An enjoyable course combining a well-balanced mixture of practical techniques with theoretical study to deepen awareness, knowledge and experience of yoga.
During this course, you will:
•Practice asana, including limbering, modifications, functional kinesiology, benefits and Sanskrit names.
•Develop skills in basic breathing, pranayama, mudra and chanting
•Learn relaxation, concentration and meditation techniques
•Consider how to plan your own self practice
•Study aspects of yoga philosophy, key texts, the chakra system, and discuss topics on the history, styles and paths of yoga.
A 60 hour course on Saturdays in Tiverton, Devon, starting in October 2017.These courses are available for anyone who has practised yoga for 2 years or more.
Tara is one of the UK’s leading teachers and has taught more than 30 of these courses. She is an author of several best-selling yoga books, and her teaching is based on her 35 years of practice, and 20 years of teaching. This course is open to students who simply wish to broaden their knowledge, or is the first step towards a teacher training course.
The course is an essential pre requisite for the BWY Diploma and Certificate Teacher Training Courses but is also open to those who are interested purely in personal growth and development.
