Learn how to teach Menopause Yoga workshops and group classes on this special 40-hour MODULE course led by Petra Coveney.
This special September 4- day course will be taught IN PERSON at STATE Yoga Studio, in Highgate, north London.
In the event of a Covid-19 lockdown, the course will go ahead online with the option to request a full refund minus a booking fee.
Petra Coveney is the founder of Menopause Yoga that draws together western and eastern approaches to support women’s health and wellbeing.
Menopause Yoga seeks to educate and empower women to embrace The Menopause as an opportunity for self-knowledge and personal growth.
Trainees on this course learn to:
Teach specific yoga asana, pranayama, and meditation practices to help women managea. their symptoms and unlock the positive potential of this natural but destabilizing transition in life.
b. Hold Space safely in women’s circle discussions on menopause.
c. Plan and promote menopause workshops and classes.
Trainees also benefit from a library of expert guest speaker talks (recorded) on:
- Biological causes of menopause symptoms, health risks & Hormone Replacement Therapy;
- Nutrition to support hormone balance, heart health, bone and muscle strength.
- Osteoporosis risks and safe yoga practice.
- Overview of psychology & CBT for menopause.
- Natural remedies and vitamin supplements.
- Ayurveda for menopause.
- Traditional Chinese Medicine and Qigong for Second Spring.
This Module is accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga and involves 27 hours of live IN PERSON teaching, teaching practice and a teaching assessment. It is also accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals.
Successful completion of the course requires full attendance, a 15-minutes observed teaching practice and written coursework to be submitted at the end of the month.
To support self-study, trainees also have access to an online library of Menopause Yoga Teachers’ Resources, including video webinars, podcasts and pdf documents.
Graduates will receive an accreditation certificate from the British Wheel of Yoga, a digital Letter of Authenticity from Yoga Alliance Professionals and a Menopause Yoga Accredited Teacher gold standard badge, as well as CPD points.
Graduates can also join a FREE Teachers Directory on the Menopause-Yoga.com website, FREE teacher skill-sharing sessions, and FREE access to the Teachers’ Resources library.

This course is only to qualified women yoga teachers, due to the personal nature of the women’s circle discussions.
