is a fully accessible, modern venue owned by Chichester District Council and managed by Everyone Active.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT:The venue is 0.3 mile from Chichester Railway Station which is easily accessible on the Southern line from areas across the southern part of England, including London. You can catch the 7:05 direct train from London Victoria on Saturday and be in Chichester by 8:37, just in time for the 9 AM start.
Popular budget airlines flying into London Gatwick from across the UK include RyanAir and Easyjet. There is direct train service – taking less than 1 hours - from Gatwick to Chichester station every 30 minutes.
Because Chichester is a popular location in the summer, the tutor has reserved a few hotel rooms for Saturday night, 2ndJuly at the quieter Premier Inn (0.7 mile to the venue) or the slightly cheaper but noisier Vestry Hotel in the town centre (0.4 mile to the venue) which includes breakfast. The additional cost for an out of town attendee wanting accommodation ranges from £125-138 for one night -- please contact Laura if interested. There are plenty of nearby restaurants in the area.
There is a large council-owned pay and display car park at the venue (first 2 hours are free) with 6 disabled car parking spaces, plus there are 3 disabled car parking spaces directly in front of the venue entrance.
FOOD:There is a café in the Westgate Leisure Centre with wifi and they are happy to rope off a section for our group to sit together for lunch. There is also a Waitrose nearby.
Unit 2 Practical Days with tutor – 2nd-3rd July at the venue from 9:00 to 18:00
The practical weekend will be followed by Zoom sessions to be arranged for later in July with Laura and Felicity. Students will then plan and deliver a 6 week course with one session to be assessed.
