Thinking of becoming a yoga teacher? Or just keen to widen and strengthen your knowledge? Then the British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course is for you. A precursor to the BWYT Teaching Training Diploma or end in itself, the FC1 is a journey of self discovery, helping you to develop a personal yoga practice while learning about all aspects of yoga.
Kari Knight, who has many years of teaching experience and specialises in teaching meditation, Mindfulness and Self-compassion, has successfully run this course since 2009 at the comfortable surroundings of the Self Centre, Bury St Edmunds. Annually the course begins during March and ends in December, removing those cold winter months when travelling can be perilous. The course runs over nine study days held on Saturdays
from 10am-5pm. Parking is available on-site.
Each year many of the students take the next step towards Teacher Training but this is not always the route for those who wish to continue on the path of deepening their personal practice. Kari Knight can offer those students the opportunity to further their studies by progression to Foundation Course 2.
The FC2 nicely dovetails the end of the Foundation Course 1 and runs each January from the Boiler House, a delightful small studio also based in Bury St Edmunds. The FC2 keeps the momentum of study already put in motion by FC1 and is a small study group of only eight. The students end the course in Sweden for a five-day intensive study retreat in a beautiful and natural setting.
Kari Knight is known for simplifying Yoga concepts and giving clear and erudite instruction. Coming from a background in journalism she provides clear and concise, in-depth handouts to support the broad and fascinating FC1 syllabus that the BWY offers.
Please contact Kari on email@example.com or call her on 07941 939645. Serious candidates are welcome to a complimentary session at Long Melford, Suffolk where Kari’s main community teaching is based.
