BWYT Foundation Course with Tarik Dervish
This 60 hour course is an opportunity to explore the deeper aspects of Yoga practice that are not normally taught in general classes. We will explore the various energetic practices taught in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika including the basic principles of Ayurveda, which underpin it. We will study the Yoga philosophy of Patanjali's famous Yoga Sutras. The course will be approximately half practice and half theory and there will be lots of opportunity for discussion. Practices will include Asana, Pranayama, Mudra, Bandha, Chakras, Mantra, Meditation and the Shatkarmas (Yogic cleansing techniques)

Cost: £660 including Registration fee. BWY Membership is separate and you need to be a member to do this course.

About the tutor:
Tarik is a qualified and experienced Yoga Teacher/Trainer and Ayurvedic practitioner. He runs Yoga Teacher Training courses, an Ayurveda Module and workshops in Ayurveda for Yoga practitioners. He also has an Ayurveda clinic in Kings Cross. He's been teaching Yoga since 1997 and has had a wide variety of training including Iyengar, Satyananda, Sivananda and more recently, Scaravelli traditions. His main approach is to help students establish a sound physical practice that is appropriate for their Constitution as a foundation for deeper, subtle meditative work.
