Are you looking to empower and support people seeking physical, mental and emotional health and well-being?

Are you navigating life change and looking for growth through personal development?

This way of being starts with you!

How this course benefits you: Through this sensitive and intuitive approach, you will be introduced to skills to meet, greet and empower others on their healing journey. Over 8 full days, we cover theory of yogic practices, ways of being present, learning how to apply them in our personal and professional relationships. Your body and your breath have been with you since before you were born. The body’s sensations hold a great intelligence which becomes blocked by the mind and conditioning. This course offers many ways to attune to the body’s wisdom for therapeutic purposes and a new perspective on self and life.

Topics Covered:

  • Asana and embodied movement
  • Breathing and pranayama techniques
  • Function of cardiovascular, respiratory and nervous systems
  • Upper back, shoulder and neck stiffness
  • Meeting common conditions and labels
  • Physical, mental and emotional health
  • Metta practices
  • Philosophy, suffering and healing
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Language, silence and sound
  • Techniques to nourish body, mind and soul
  • Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy principles.

Core Principles: You will have the opportunity to try out new ways of being within a supported and inclusive environment. Student-centred learning will guide you through theory and practice in an embodied way to retain a memory of each practice through direct experience.

What experience do I need?  Not only for yoga teachers and trainees, this course is for yoga practitioners, body workers, therapists, carers and givers, and anyone who loves learning, asks deep questions about life and what they have to offer, how to improve their relationships and create lasting change in their lives.

Tutors: Judy Hirsh Sampath and guest tutors.
