Information about the course
This course will take place over 10 Saturdays (60 hours).
This course is designed to enable you to gain a deeper understanding of the postures, breathing techniques and the philosophy that underpins Yoga. The discussions and guided talks will cultivate ways in which our yoga practice can enhance our health and wellbeing and help us towards establishing a meaningful, independent personal practice.
I have been taught by students of Vanda Scaravelli (Sophy Hoare and Diane Long) since 2004 and I also work with mindfulness-based meditations. This work encourages us to be more aware of what is going on inside us and teaches us not to get so caught up with what we look like or how we think things should be.
There is no formal assessed work but you will; be encouraged to practice independently and supportive handouts will be supplied.
