This will be a combined AGM and workshop day. Although only BWY members are eligible to attend the AGM, anyone is welcome to come along for the workshop. 

If you wish only to attend the AGM, there is no charge and you do not need to book, just turn up for the meeting. 

If you would like to be considered for a committee position, please send your nomination form  to the Regional Officer before the event. If you wish to stand as a County Rep, you must live in the relevant county and be nominated and seconded by members from the same county. For other positions, it is necessary only to be a BWY member and to be nominated and seconded by two other members. 

The nomination form can be found in the autumn edition of Wheel North on page 14.


The hall will be open from 9.30 and the format of the day will be:

9.30 – 10.00

registration and tea/coffee

10.30 – 11.45

AGM and "Yoga and Parkinson's"   presentation

11.45 – 12.00


12.00 – 1.30

Yoga session 1

1.30 – 2.30

Shared lunch with raffle to raise money for St. Oswald’s hospice.

2.30 – 4.00

Yoga session 2

4.00 – 5.00

Committee meeting


Two of our best known local teachers will be delivering our yoga for the day: Sue and Colin Harding-Smith.

 The first yoga session will be: ‘Working up an appetite – Back to Basics’ with Colin and a little help from Sue.


The second will be a little gentler: ‘Aiding the digestion and easing out the back’ using some ‘Yoga for Healthy Lower Back’ principles, from Sue with a little help from Colin.

There will be a raffle in aid of St Oswald's Hospice, where our friend and colleague Emma Evans was cared for. Any contributions to the raffle will be gratefully accepted, either on the day or in advance
