What is chiropractic? What is the difference between chiropractic, physiotherapist, osteopathy and the different chiropractic techniques (clicking vs non clicking)?
Chiropractic, from the meaning ‘done by hands’, is a way of adjusting bones in the body to improve the alignment of the skeleton which helps the nervous system work more efficiently by restoring it’s function. Chiropractic care aims to restore the body’s natural balance by realigning the bones to relieve pain and discomfort associated with the misalignment of bones and also to increase the mobility of the body.
As yoga teachers, what you can look for to help people who may have issues they are not aware of. How you can help students who have ongoing problems; we can run through some of the problems that yoga students commonly present with so opening the floor for teachers to ask questions.
Workshop will include palpation and basic testing of range of movement, with a demo of a chiropractic session.
The event will be presented by Sadiya Attiq. Sadiya studied Biology, Chemistry, Maths and English at A level. She then went on to study an Integrated Masters in Chiropractic degree at university. Sadiya graduated from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in 2019 with a 2:1 in her degree.
Laura Rigby DC, is the Clinic Director at Berkshire Health Clinic. Laura graduated from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Chiropractic, and sits as Secretary for the Sacro Occipital Technique Organisation Europe. She is also a post registration trainer for the Royal College of Chiropractors.https://berksclinic.co.uk/
