This day is designed as an interactive and practical workshop for all students and teachers who are keen to master new practices that could inform their daily practice and refresh their personal experience before delivering them to their own students, so adding a new dimension of teaching to their regular sessions. Janet will be co-presenting the day with her husband Mike, a retired RGN, in this beautiful venue. It will include breath, movement and sound techniques followed by settling for a ‘Heart Centred’ sound therapy bath.

Janet has practiced yoga for 50 years and has been a BWY DCT for the last 27 years while enjoying variety and teaching a wide range of yoga styles. She is also a qualified Satyananda Therapeutic Yoga teacher. Her passions lie in her experiences with the power of Reiki and Sound Healing which fuels her inspiration for including sound and simple mantra into her weekly classes

About Janet BOND

Janet has practiced Yoga for 50 years and before dedicating to Health & Fitness was the Head of Newhaven Adult Education Centre. Redundancy provided the funding to start her own exercise business and she has 9 YMCA Certificates in teaching Fitness. She is now a Senior Diploma Course Tutor/Modular Course Officer/Quality Assessor/ Verifier for the BWYT, (roles developed over the past 30 years), having successfully delivered 25 Foundation/Certificate and Diploma Courses. She maintains her interest in personal self development and has gained 5 Module Course Certificates specialising in teaching = Pranayama, Meditation, Pregnancy, Yoga Nidra and Yoga for those living with Cancer. In 2015 she completed an intensive integration teacher training course to qualify as a Satyananda Therapeutic Yoga Teacher under the guidance of Swami Vedantananda in Portugal, enabling her to Teach Classical and Traditional Yoga. She and her husband Mike are ex-military nurses and have resided in the South East for 40 years, they enjoy delivering courses together. Mike specialises in First Aid plus Anatomy & Physiology, delivering both in a fun and interactive way. In their spare time they raise money for Cancer Research by providing therapy treatments in Reiki & Sound Healing & Monthly Sunday Afternoon Sound Baths as well as contributing all profits from the sale of Janet's Yoga Nidra & Healing Relaxation C.D. to Marie Curie. Having qualified as Sound Healing Therapists 18 yrs ago with Simon Heathers' College of Sound Healing, they are finally moving into semi-retirement and look forward to continuing their joint teaching of interactive, fun C.P.D., workshops utilising - "The Power of Breath, Movement & Sound".
