IST Managing Digestive Disorders and other Pitta Inbalances
Tutor: Tarik Dervish
Date: 19th May 2018
Time: 10:00 - 16:00
We are very happy to have Tarik back again in Sussex, this time introducing the Ayurvedic perspective of Digestive Disorders and enhancing our understanding of the concept of Agni (digestive fire) and its importance. This will be compared to Western perspectives and we will learn how Ayurveda and Yoga can manage these problems.
There will be discussions on the basic principles of Ayurveda and the main features of Pitta Imbalance.
In the morning there will be an asana practice to help manage digestive disorders, and later in the day, Yoga Nidra, Pranayama and Mediation techniques to help manage Pitta imbalance.
Tarik has been teaching Yoga for 16 years and Ayurveda for 10 years. He is a DCT, BWY Diploma holder and also holds an honours degree in Ayurveda. He specialises in building bridges between the two practices to help improve health and wellbeing and create the foundations for a deeper relationship with Self. He also runs an Ayurvedic clinic in Central London. He runs Foundation courses, Teacher Training courses and a module in Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy
