Tutor: David Charlton
Date: 7th July 2019
Time: 10:00 - 15:45
Teaching yoga to individuals, understood here as creating a practice for the student to do regularly at home, is an art that can take years to develop. In this day we will explore what it is that we might be trying to achieve through individual teaching, some key concepts that inform the content that we might choose, and do some sample practices which have quite diverse emphasis and content. If you are interested or curious about individual teaching. This day will provide much food for thought about the essentials to be considered when teaching 1:2:1.
Always interested in Yoga and eastern philosophy, Dave completed an MA in Buddhist philosophy in 1993 and continues his interest in Sanskrit and Tibetan Buddhism. David was a student of Paul Harvey for many years. Dave has also studied with Frans Moors and Peter Hersnack, two other direct students of Desikachar, and has found an affinity with Peter Hersnack’s approach to Yoga and the Yoga Sutra.
A workshop with Dave is always thought provoking , leaving you with a feel good feeling so why not book Dave’s Saturday workshop in Surrey on Saturday 6thJuly and benefit from booking both days as a BWY member for £50
