Tutor: Elaine Fletcher
Date: 2nd December 2017
Time: 10:00 - 16:00
The purpose of the morning session is to review skills in observation, explore student self-observation and the value of a staged approach when progressing to more demanding asana. There will be practical opportunities in the preparatory gateway postures for the headstand, shoulder stand and wheel. This covers postures that are used to work towards these three more advanced postures, as for some people the advanced postures are not suitable thus ensuring our teaching is appropriate for all.
In the afternoon, we review assessment and have discussions around how to review self-assessment.
Elaine has been teaching for over 20 years, she is a DCT, running a number of diploma courses and is the Teacher Training Course Officer for BWYT. Her own teaching style has been influenced by Peter Blackaby, John Stirk and Chloe Freemantle
