Tutor: Gill Lloyd
Date: 2nd December 2017
Time: 10:00 - 16:00
Gill feels chanting is a remarkable aspect of yoga that promotes a real feeling of togetherness and well-being and can be a support even in the most difficult of times. She will explain how sound and chanting helped the teachings of yoga survive through the millennia and consider the relevance value of sound and Vedic chanting in our 21st century practice. She will teach the basic rules of chanting and students will practice some chants for health and well-being.
Vedic chanting has been part of Gill's Yoga studies and practice since 1987. She continues her own study with Radha Sundararajan on a regular basis. Radha was appointed by TKV Desikachar to head up the Vedic Chant division of the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram and is regarded as an expert in this field around the world. Gill has been a BWY Diploma Course Tutor as well as serving on the BWY National Executive and Education Committees. Today she teaches individuals, supervises training courses and runs workshops.
