Aims of the Morning
Introduce the text - its context and its relationship to yoga and to religion.
Introduce some key themes from the text and explore their relevance for us, with particular focus on karma yoga.
Participants will have discussed and reflected on the text as a whole, and on some teachings about karma yoga in particular.
They will have experienced a meditative practice based on one of the themes.
Aims of the Afternoon
Continue to explore themes which are helpful to us nowadays, looking especially at teachings on pranayama and meditation, and bhakti yoga
Participants will have discussed teachings on pranayama and meditation and bhakti yoga, and have experienced a meditative practice based on these teachings.

Please bring your mat block etc. for yoga practice.
Please bring your copy of the Bhagavad Gita, a pen and paper.

About the Tutor
Sarah is a teacher, trainer and therapist in the tradition of Krishnamacharya. She also teaches Vedic Chant and Mantra.
She was a Diploma Course Tutor for the British Wheel of Yoga and a Chair of its Education Committee for three years.
Sarah teaches classes, including one for people with Multiple Sclerosis; a small group which meets regularly to discuss the yoga sutra; and on a one to one basis, whether people's prime need is Yoga as a therapy, or for personal development. She co-founded Yoga Journey, a course for existing yoga teachers who want to study, practise and teach in the tradition of Desikachar and his father, Professor Krishnamacharya.
She lives in Milborne St Andrew, Blandford, Dorset.
