Rasayana Chikitsa or Rejuvenation
Therapy is a very exciting area of Ayurveda that relates to many aspects of our
lives. The quest for eternal youth is something that is perhaps has old as myth
itself. We all have that instinct innately within us, perhaps because we fear
death or perhaps we want to celebrate life for as long as we can.
In Yoga, it is said that what we are really seeking is to connect with our
Eternal Self which can only really happen through long practice and the Grace
of the divine. Ayurveda however, is much more practical that that. Ayurveda has
gone to pains to explore exactly how we can maintain health and longevity by
looking at the foods we eat and the way we live.
Rasayana is a vast and complicated area of Ayurveda that involves many layers
but in this workshop we will explore some of the simplest every day techniques
including practices discussed in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and some other ideas
that I have encountered in other systems like Taoism and Chinese Medicine.
This workshop is for any serious student of Yoga. I will be revising the basic
principles of Ayurveda in the morning but some awareness of these principles
will be an advantage as I will not have enough time to build the ground work
and do this subject justice. Discover Rasayana and be inspired.
