Understanding the Symbiosis of Ayurveda and Yoga with Natasha Marchant.
Join Natasha Marchant for an introduction to Ayurveda and Yoga, find out your Dosha and how to create a seasonal Yoga practice, with nutritional and self-care tips for the year ahead.
Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences, working together to purify and rejuvenate body and mind to support the individual to move towards achieving optimum health and higher states of consciousness. The wisdom of Ayurveda is understanding the rhythm of nature and finding our dance within it. By understanding the qualities of the Gunas (Sattva, Rajas, Tamas) and the Mahabhutas (5 elements), we can see the composition of the Doshas and their unique characteristics. This understanding of the fluctuations of our internal and external landscape can provide us with the knowledge to adapt our Yoga practice and Ayurvedic lifestyle choices to encourage health and wellbeing.
Ever since she can remember Natasha has been exploring the interrelationship of our internal and external landscape. It was this curiosity in nature that led Natasha to train as a massage therapist specialising in Ayurveda and Aromatherapy. Natasha is a BWY teacher with further qualifications in Ayurvedic Nutrition, Pregnancy Yoga, Yoga for Children and Trauma Sensitive Yoga.
Natasha is the founder of the Gaia centres in Cardiff www.gaialifestyle.com and also teaches FHT Accredited Ayurvedic Massage.
