About the day
This one day Emergency First Aid at Work course will cover basic life-saving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations. Additional topics relevant to the yoga teacher will be added. These include heart attack, stroke, fainting, sprains, strains and spinal injuries.
Course Assessment: Assessment will be ongoing throughout the day, to include written assessment and observation by the trainer.
Certification: Successful candidates will receive a certificate from Nuco Training, which is a training provider approved by the Heath and Safety Executive. Certificates are valid for a period of 3 years.
About the tutor
Holly Leatham (nee Wells) is a yoga and pilates teacher who has been teaching first aid courses for 10 years. Prior to that she had Oceanic First Aid experience, when working for a scuba diving company as a divemaster in Thailand.
She has been teaching pilates and practising yoga for over 10 years and been teaching yoga for two years. She is also a sports massage therapist and a nutritional therapist.
Tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring your own lunch.
