To sequence postures, means we are planning to teach postures in a certain way.
The Sanskrit term for this is 'vinyasa krama' meaning 'vi' (in a special way) and 'nyasa' (to place) - identified in English as 'to place in a special way'.
This IST Day will look at the steps (krama) that should be taken, in order that a practice of Yoga becomes appropriate and beneficial to the individual.
"It is not enough to simply take a step; that step needs to take us in the right direction and be made in the right way." (T K V Desikachar 1999)
Marguerita was a Diploma Course Tutor for 9 years. She served on the Education Committee for 6 years. Marguerita teaches in Preston.
