Becoming a yoga teacher

We offer a programme of nationally-recognised teacher training, including the BWY certificate and diploma at level four of undergraduate study in the UK.

Whichever course you choose, you can be confident of first-class training in all the practical and ethical aspects of being a skilled and highly-qualified yoga teacher.

Our course includes yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology, yoga asanas, pranayama, mudra & bandha, concentration and meditation and relaxation.

Significant time is devoted to ‘how to teach’, supporting the professional practices required to make you an extraordinary teacher.

As part of the course, you will be observed teaching your class.  This will provide the opportunities to develop the skills you need to run successful and engaging yoga classes.

Search for a teacher training course in your area, by clicking Training, entering your postcode, typing teaching in the Keyword box and clicking Search..

Not sure whether you want to train as a teacher?

Try our Foundation Course, which will enable you to explore yoga philosophy and practice in more depth.
